Lowell Police Department offers a community meet-up spot for the City’s residents that is located at Police Station. A Community Meet-Up Spot, also known as Safety Zone, is a public location where residents, who make online purchases, can safely make an exchange with others. In an effort to eliminate theft, violence, and other dangerous activities this initiative was put in place to make residents feel comfortable when exchanging purchases with strangers.
As a reminder if residents choose not to use the provided community meet-up spot, when exchanging online purchases, etc. residents should be cautious of meeting with strangers, meet in a public place, and only make an exchange in well lit areas or before sunset.
