ANNA, AGE 7, of LOWELL was last seen Sunday, July 9 between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

LOWELL — Superintendent Greg Hudon reports that the Lowell Police Department is seeking the public’s help with locating a missing 7-year-old girl and is asking residents of Lowell and Tewksbury to continue to check their properties as the search for her continues. 

Lowell Police personnel continued to search overnight. As of this morning, multiple regional law enforcement agencies have rejoined Lowell Police as they continue searching for 7-year-old Anna

Anna, age 7, of Lowell, was last seen on Sunday, July 9, between 2 and 3 p.m. in the area of East Merrimack Street in the Belvidere neighborhood. Anna lives with her family on Geanna Lane.

Anna is on the autism spectrum and is non-verbal. She was last seen wearing black shorts, a white vest, and a purple hair tie. She is likely barefoot and does not have her bike with her. 

Lowell Police are asking residents of both Lowell and Tewksbury, in particular those who live in the areas of East Merrimack Street and River Road, to check their properties. Areas such as back yards, sheds, boats, and anywhere else that a child might be able to hide are priorities. 

Residents of Lowell and Tewksbury are also asked to check any surveillance cameras they have on their property.

Lowell Police have deployed multiple officers, the K-9 Unit and Drone Unit. Lowell Police are also being assisted by the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council K-9 Unit and Regional Response Teams, the Massachusetts State Police Airwing, the Massachusetts State Police K-9 Unit, the Lowell Fire Department and the Lowell Dive Team and Massachusetts State Police Dive Team. 

Residents can expect a large police presence in the area during the search.
